President Yushchenko meets Metropolitan Mefodiy
President Victor Yushchenko met today with Head of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Mefodiy. At the meeting sides discussed preparation to celebrating 1020th anniversary of Christianization of Rus. President expressed assurance to Metropolitan Mefodiy that celebration would favor further acceptance of Christian values in Ukrainian society. |
