President concerned about implementation of visa regulations with the EU - A. Goncharuk
At his today’s press briefing deputy Chief of Staff of Presidential Secretariat Andrii Goncharuk informed media that President Victor Yushchenko has signed Decree on regulation of reciprocal travels by citizens of Ukraine and the EU. The document instructs the Government to inspect in one-month term the situation with Ukrainian citizens acquiring EU visas and to provide a report on how reciprocity principle is observed in the case.
According to Mr. Goncharuk such a decision was made in response to the fact that despite liberalization of visa regulations between Ukraine and the EU since January 2008, in some cases Ukrainian citizens still face difficulties in acquiring EU visas. |
