President meets American Jewish community

President Victor Yushchenko met in New York with representatives of America’s Jewish community.

At the meeting President Yushchenko told the present about Ukraine’s policy on Jews’ rights protection, fighting anti-Semitism and racial discrimination; coopertation between our state and Israel in improvement of living conditions for Jewish community in Ukraine, etc.

He also expressed grattitude to Jewish community of the USA for its support of Ukraine in development of strategic relations with the U.S.

At the meeting President Yushchenko presented national awards to Executive Director of American Jewish Commettee David A. Harris and Executive Director of National Conference on Soviet Jewry Mark B. Levin,
