President welcomes repeal of Jackson-Vanik

Victor Yushchenko thanked U.S. congressmen for repealing the Jackson-Vanik amendment.

The Chief of State also expressed gratitude to the United States for recognizing our country as market economy, signing a market access agreement and eventually repealing the amendment. He reiterated that all these steps confirmed our strategic partnership and would help accelerate trade relations between the two countries and boost investment.

The President is convinced Ukrainian entrepreneurs will feel positive changes of the repeal this year.
