Tensions with Russia on gas debts removed - President
At 9.30,
before his flight to Chernihiv region, President Victor Yushchenko held a
meeting with Vice Prime Minister Oleksandr Turchynov. During the meeting O.
Turchynov informed V. Yushchenko on state of affairs with paying off debts to Russia for the
supplied gas.
President
was informed that on February 26 NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine has transferred 2.2
billion hryvnyas to the accounts of companies supplying gas to Ukraine. Thus,
according to Naftogaz Ukrainian side has paid off entire debt.
