Ukraine and Libya sign bilateral documents

Within the framework of President Victor Yushchenko’s official visit to Libya the sides signed bilateral documents.

The Program of cooperation between Ukraine and the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya for 2008-2009 was signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Volodymyr Ohryzko and Secretary of the General People's Committee for Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation Abd al-Rahman Shalgam from Ukraine and Libya respectively.

There were also two intergovernmental agreements signed, namely on mutual legal support in civil and criminal litigations and on transfer of the sentenced persons. These documents were signed by Minister of Justice Mykola Onishchuk and Secretary of the General People's Committee for Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation Abd al-Rahman Shalgam from Ukraine and Libya respectively.

In addition to the above the sides signed an agreement on cooperation in agriculture.
