During the meeting with media representatives in Brussels, President Petro Poroshenko said that Ukraine required a decision on the Common Aviation Area. "There is no need for any discussions. The ball is in the court of the EU, and they are now doing everything to coordinate this issue," the Head of State emphasized.

President Petro Poroshenko emphasized that during the Eastern Partnership Summit, its participants developed a joint vision for Ukraine's prospects, which was first demonstrated during the Ukraine-EU summit in Kyiv this summer.

The Head of State stressed that the Ukrainian delegation had also managed to resolve one more important political issue - to unite the positions of the EU countries around the peacekeeping mission in the Donbas.

“We agreed that next week the European Commission will release a communique on a very ambitious macro-financial assistance project for 2018-2019. Three tranches. The same volume. Moreover, we are starting to work right from January 2018,” the Head of State told journalists in Brussels. The President is hopeful that these agreement will be implemented.

During the speech at the plenary session of the Fifth Eastern Partnership Summit, President Petro Poroshenko emphasized that Europe had a serious adversary – Russia – with a deeply anti-European agenda. Hence, if Europe wants to endure, it needs to toughen up politically, rhetorically, ideologically.

My country is looking (first and foremost) at so-called ‘Four Unions’ – Energy Union; Digital Single Market; Customs Union and association with the Schengen area. We want more Europe in Ukraine.
