The Ukrainian President’s wife and the President of Malta visited Kyiv school, which is carrying out online lessons jointly with a Maltese college within Co-Teaching project

President’s wife Maryna Poroshenko and President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca visited specialized Kyiv school №155 with enhanced learning of English. Since 2011, this Ukrainian education institution jointly with the Maltese college of St. Elias have been partners of Co-Teaching project on carrying out online chemistry and biology lessons in English.

Since 2011, this Ukrainian education institution jointly with the Maltese college of St. Elias have been partners of Co-Teaching project on carrying out online chemistry and biology lessons in English.

The meeting took place in the format of teleconference between Ukraine and Malta in English. In the course of the panel discussion, the parties touched upon topical issues: charity, environmental protection, global warming and ways to overcome the impact of human activity on the climate of the Earth.

The parties agreed to continue cooperation in creating practical models of the common European education space. The project between the Ukrainian school and the Maltese college will be continued in the 2017-2018 school year.

“Learning foreign languages is not only an opportunity to feel like a "global citizen". It is also an opportunity to have new friends in different countries. I am convinced that in the future, friendship between nations will certainly increase chances of preserving peace around the world,” Maryna Poroshenko said to the children.

In 2015, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine included specialized school №155 in the European Commission's Learning Program eTwinning. Already in 2016, the Ukrainian-Maltese project has been marked by this Program twice.
