V. Kovalchuk: President shares concerns of agrarians with the provisions of the Verkhovna Rada's decisions on the peculiarities of VAT taxation of agricultural export operations

"The Head of State shares concerns of agrarians with ambiguous provisions adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the peculiarities of VAT taxation of agricultural export operations," First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Vitali Kovalchuk said, commenting on the appeal of agricultural producers and the public.

The President of Ukraine drew attention of legislators to the non-compliance of such decisions with the commitments made by Ukraine at the time of joining the World Trade Organization and signing the Association Agreement with the European Union. He urges the Verkhovna Rada to eliminate inconsistencies, in particular regarding the timing of application of the specifics of taxation of operations with agricultural products.

Vitali Kovalchuk is hopeful that the Parliament would find a compromise decision this week to resolve the issue and it would be in line with the economic interests of the state and producers, as well as with the international obligations.
