President: Servicemen who fought in the ATO area  this year will receive financial rewards

President Petro Poroshenko stressed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would continue to be the guarantor of Ukraine's freedom, independence and sovereignty.

“We found an opportunity with the Minister of Defense to pay a one-time financial reward for those who fought in the ATO area this year. The first line will receive 5 thousand hryvnias, the second line - 3 thousand. And we will continue to work on raising the level of social protection of Ukrainian servicemen,” the President said during the visit to theInternational Center for Peacekeeping and Security in Lviv region.

Petro Poroshenko also noted that the state should take care of the rehabilitation and treatment of its soldiers. In particular, he said, rehabilitation centers were transferred to the Armed Forces from various departments, including from the National Bank of Ukraine. Currently, Lviv region is also completing the modernization and repair of the rehabilitation center, which will help servicemen who can rest with their families there.
