President Petro Poroshenko emphasized that Ukraine has already been living for three years in conditions of hybrid war and aggression of Russia that uses various means to destabilize the situation in both our country and Europe.
“An important part of this war for Russians is hybrid war waged by information troops of Russia. Enormous budgets are spent for propaganda to destabilize the situation in both Ukraine and Europe,” Petro Poroshenko said answering the question of journalists as regards the NSDC decision “On the Use of Personal Special Economic and Other Restrictive Measures (Sanctions)” that blocks certain Russian online resources in Ukraine.
The President informed that respective Ukrainian structures would thoroughly implement this decision. “I can emphasize that immediately after the termination of Russian aggression against Ukraine, immediately after the last Russian soldier leaves sovereign and independent territory of Ukraine, we will be ready to revise this decision,” Petro Poroshenko said.
The President reminded that similar discussion was held when the decision to terminate broadcasting of Russian propagandistic TV channels had been adopted. “This was a certain inconvenience, but time has proved that we are doing everything right. Today, one cannot differentiate cybersecurity and Russian interference with democratic processes all over the world, as well as its propagandistic efforts made using, inter alia, social networks,” the President noted.
