During the working trip to Lviv region, President Poroshenko handed over certificates 40 medical Humvees to the AFU military.

“We found an opportunity with the Minister of Defense to pay a one-time financial reward for those who fought in the ATO area this year. The first line will receive 5 thousand hryvnias, the second line - 3 thousand. And we will continue to work on raising the level of social protection of Ukrainian servicemen,” the President said during the visit to the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security in Lviv region.

The Head of State especially stressed the need to ensure decent accommodation of military personnel. He stressed that, together with the creation of the new army and the restoration of the combat capabilities of the troops, one of his main priorities was to provide decent social conditions for military personnel.

In three and a half years of armed confrontation with the Russian aggressor, Ukrainian troops, volunteers, and all Ukrainian people have kept the freedom of our state. The Armed Forces of Ukraine and other power units firmly hold the defense in the east of our country. Consequently, the enemy puts an increasing stake in striking in the back, undermining us from inside and destabilizing the situation in Ukraine. Moscow spares no money for that. This was announced by President Petro Poroshenko during a working visit to Lviv region.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Ma Kai. The Head of State emphasized that the visit of the Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine was very important for the development of Ukraine-China partnership.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with President and Chief Executive Officer of General Electric Transportation Rafael Santana.

President Poroshenko called on representatives of united territorial communities to create conditions for the development of SMEs in their territories and to seek ways to attract investment.

“We are talking about the deconcentration of the sphere of land relations. Deconcentration is a synonym of decentralization, its component part. The work on the bill is completed, according to which the united territorial communities, I emphasize - it is only united - another powerful incentive, must immediately obtain the right to dispose of state land,” the Head of State noted in the II Ukrainian Forum of United Citizens “Initiatives that Change Life”.

President Petro Poroshenko emphasizes that the process of voluntary association of territorial communities should be considered generally successful and “the benefits from decentralization will be given not only to the big cities and regional centers”. The Head of State also expressed hope that the Parliament would adopt the State Budget 2018 providing for the further increase in the current revenue base of local budgets.

President Petro Poroshenko thanked the Government and the Prime Minister for supporting his initiative on increasing minimum wage to 4100 hryvnias and taking into account respective proposals in the draft state budget for 2018. The Head of State noted that he had addressed the Cabinet of Ministers with respective letter and offered to reach the given level of minimum salary next year.
