President Petro Poroshenko and his wife Maryna Poroshenko visited the anniversary evening of the People's Artist of Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine Ada Rogovtseva at Ivan Franko Theatre. The Head of State presented her Oleksandr Dovzhenko State Award of Ukraine 2017.

“Thank you for the unbiased and objective assessment of these changes regarding investors' attitude," the Head of State said during a meeting with representatives of business circles. Petro Poroshenko drew attention to the report of the European External Action Service and the European Commission on the progress of reforms in 2017, which was promulgated on November 15.

“We must look for non-standard, non-trivial solutions to stimulate investment and accelerate economic growth. There is an idea and we want to put it on a broad public discussion. Today, you will become the first to see the long-awaited draft law on the introduction of a tax on withdrawn capital," President Poroshenko said during a meeting with representatives of business circles.

“The Bureau must become not a special force, not stormtroopers, but an intellectual center the work of which is based on the use of modern risk-oriented methods of criminal analysis. For this reveals real and potential violations in the economic sphere,” the President said in the meeting with businessmen.

During the meeting with business representatives, the President signed law banning unnecessary business checks, which was elaborated by the Government and adopted by the Parliament.

During the festivities on the Day of Prosecutor, President Petro Poroshenko handed over the new flag of the agency to Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko. The Head of State signed a respective decree approving the emblem and flag of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, as well as the procedure for their use.

“We are firmly committed to the Euro-Atlantic integration and do not even doubt that in the very near future, the referendums on the accession to NATO and the membership in the European Union will definitely be held in Ukraine and I am confident that the people of Ukraine will support my initiative,” the President said.

President Petro Poroshenko noted the efficiency of the work of the prosecutor's office in returning tens of billions of funds stolen from the previous government to the state budget. These funds, together with the implementation of reforms in various fields, allow the state to implement many projects for the development of rural medicine, housing construction for the military, construction of roads and infrastructure development.

During the festivities on the Day of Prosecutor, President Petro Poroshenko noted the process of reforming the prosecution of Ukraine had a long history. “The reform of the prosecutor's office is the most important commitment our state undertook in 1995 to the Council of Europe. In 1996, these commitments were included in our Constitution. Since then, PACE, other European institutions have been repeatedly reminding of the need for this reform. But if earlier they only spoke about this reform, we have switched from words to actions and, finally, we implement this reform,” Petro Poroshenko stressed.

President Petro Poroshenko underscores the inadmissibility of interagency conflicts. According to him, healthy competition, civilized competition, honest competition will be welcomed by both the President and society. However, conflicts, quarrels, intrigues, and hostility are completely unacceptable, because they are only beneficial for a common enemy - crime and corruption.
