President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a phone conversation with Prime Minister of Estonia Jüri Ratas.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy and Acting Head of the OSCE Angelino Alfano.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a phone conversation with President of Finland Sauli Niinistö, in the course of which he congratulated his colleague on a convincing victory in the presidential elections in Finland.

President Petro Poroshenko approved the Plan of holding multinational military training with participation of the AFU units in the territory of Ukraine and their participation in the multinational training abroad in 2018 and the admission of the units of the armed forces of other states to the territory of Ukraine in 2018 for the participation in the multinational training. It was envisaged in the respective Decree of the Head of State. Petro Poroshenko also signed Law № 2270-VIII approving the respective President’s decision.

“Even though they retreated from the station, they won the historic war. It is also due to the feat of the Kruty Heroes that the independent Ukraine emerged,” the Head of State emphasized.

“Having the bitter experience of anarchy in the period of the Ukrainian national revolution, we repel any attempts to instigate chaos and anarchy in the country. We understand, at least most of us, that the consolidation of all Ukrainians against the backdrop of the most dangerous foreign threat from Russia is the key precondition of our victory,” the Head of State noted.

“We rely on the powerful support of our international partners who do not only implement the policy of sanctions restraining the aggressor, but also started to provide defensive weapons to Ukraine,” the Head of State noted.

President Petro Poroshenko and his wife Maryna Poroshenko took part in the ceremony of commemoration of the Kruty Heroes on the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Kruty. The presidential couple laid flowers to the memorial cross on the Askold's Grave.

On February 8, 2018, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will make a working visit to Austria at the invitation of Federal President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen.

“I would like to emphasize once again - the issue of the creation of an independent anticorruption infrastructure, including the Anticorruption Court, is my priority. This is required not for the World Bank, not for the IMF, not for the foreign partners. This is required for me and for Ukraine,” President Petro Poroshenko said in the briefing following the meeting that took place within the 48th annual session of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
