President Petro Poroshenko thanked the United States for supporting Ukraine. The President noted: “We are grateful for “Peace through Strength” approach and, accordingly, for the decision to provide Ukraine with lethal defensive weapons. As well as for the coordinated efforts with a view to implementing the initiative on deployment of the UN peacekeeping operation in the occupied Donbas”.

“This year we have to deliver on the suggestions we agreed with the EU on the next steps in our gradual convergence – be it trade and energy, be it mobility and digital market. We will tirelessly work on this agenda,” the Head of State emphasized.

“This year we will launch the establishment of the Court, and my bill is under consideration in the Rada. For the sake of its successful adoption, I invite all to work constructively within democratic parliamentary procedures. Right after the first reading, there will be time to improve the draft in order to make this institution work as effectively as possible yet complying with the Ukrainian Constitution, the principles of the Ukrainian sovereignty and legislation,” the Head of State said.

The so-called “documents” published on behalf of Petro Poroshenko are a low-level counterfeit and fake fabricated and provided by the Russian special service to Rustavi-2 TV company. The Press Office of the Administration of the President of Ukraine urges the media to refrain from distributing fake information explicitly ordered by the country-aggressor.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with the representatives of Ukraine in the Trilateral Contact Group on the peaceful resolution of the situation in the Donbas (TCG) and its working subgroups. The parties discussed the results of the TCG achieved over the past year and set the priorities and tasks for 2018.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko accepted credentials from the ambassadors of several foreign countries: Netherlands - Eduard Hoeks, Lebanon - Ali Daher, Sudan - Mohamed Eisa Ismail Dahab.

President Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with the leadership of the National Police and heard the report on the investigation into the heinous murder of lawyer Iryna Nozdrovska. “I think such a fast crime solution indicates an extremely high potential of the reformed National Police,” the President said, adding that the solution of this case “reflects credit on both the police officers and the investigators involved”.

The Agreement creates a legal framework for the development of cooperation between the parties and the attraction of investments and grant resources of the Fund, including in the public sector.

The Head of State noted: “As Supreme Commander-in-Chief, as President, I will do everything to return every warrior. Today, we must unite to save those who left there. We must do everything to ensure the international pressure. We will win”.

“Nothing is more important than to return our people home,” Petro Poroshenko said in the meeting with the relatives of the hostages. “I hope everything will be alright. I hope it will be a symbol of our struggle and victory. Believe me, I’ve been waiting for this day for three years as well,” the President said.
