President Petro Poroshenko presented the Order “For Courage” of the III degree to sergeant Sabina Halytska posthumously for courage, valor and heroism. In the course of the meeting with female representatives of the security structures who took part in repelling the aggression in the east of our state, the President handed over the state award to the parents of Sabina Halytska.
The Head of State emphasized that a great number of Ukrainian women took direct part in combat operations on the frontline and defended the Ukrainian state.
Petro Poroshenko noted that sergeant Halytska was killed by a shelling. “This is the occasion well-known by the whole world - when the Ukrainian warrior, Ukrainian girl goes to rescue people and Russian aggressors and their mercenaries fire at the armored car,” he said.
The attendees honored memory of the fallen heroes with a moment of silence.
Petro Poroshenko thanked Sabina's parents for bringing up a daughter who will forever be an example of a Ukrainian woman, Ukrainian soldier and Ukrainian patriot.
