President expects the Parliament to consider the judicial reform next week: We are not going to put up with unfair judiciary anymore

President Petro Poroshenko expects the Verkhovna Rada to complete the judicial reform next week.

“So that you won’t think that we see everything through rose-colored spectacles and do not see the problems business faces every day. We are not going to put up with unfair judiciary anymore. That is why we do not agree with any scenarios that postpone the implementation of the judicial reform,” the Head of State emphasized in the meeting with the representatives of national and foreign business.

According to him, high specialized courts and the old Supreme Court will be eliminated and a new one will be established in a transparent manner backed by the international partners. “It is a light at the end of the tunnel, which guarantees that the investor, citizen, entrepreneur will be able to find the truth and protect his interests,” he said.

The President addressed the entrepreneurs with a request to support the necessity of holding and speeding up the judicial reform. In particular, he urged to take part in the work of the Public Integrity Council to prevent reincarnation of notorious judges. “We are partners. We are on the same side of the barricades. I emphasize that this is our joint battle,” Petro Poroshenko stressed.
