President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged the Verkhovna Rada to approve the draft law on amendments to Article 80 of the Constitution of Ukraine on the immunity of MPs, and noted that with the abolition of the immunity, the possibility of instituting criminal proceedings against the deputies would emerge.They will still be immune to political decisions and positions.

In particular, the Head of State commissioned Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk and Minister of Finance Oksana Markarova to submit a bill on the State Budget of Ukraine for 2020, which will stimulate economic growth, to the Parliament by September 15, 2019.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commissioned the new government to improve the business climate in the country, revise the labor legislation and introduce a single e-services system in cooperation with the Parliament.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy set a task to the Government and the Ministry of Infrastructure to work out a plan of Ukrzaliznytsia restructuring by the end of the year, which will provide for the liberalization of the locomotive market.

During his meeting with the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet of Ministers and the law enforcement bodies, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy outlined the priority tasks in the field of decentralization and regional policy.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the development of a powerful and combat capable army a priority and set a task before the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to develop a Defense Plan.

Outlining the key tasks of the reform of the law enforcement bodies and judicial system, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of trouncing top corruption and organized crime.

“Carry out full staffing reboot of the most corrupt state agencies for business and citizens - State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre, State Service for Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine, State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate, State Environmental Protection Service, State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety and State Agency of Automobile Roads by January 1, 2020. If possible, please, do it faster,” the President addressed Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk.

Representatives of certain territories of the Luhansk region of Ukraine dismantled a checkpoint on the part of the bridge controlled by them near Stanytsia Luhanska. Hence, Ukraine is beginning to rebuild the crossing. It was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a meeting with the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet of Ministers and the law enforcement agencies.

“Now we have a unique situation, a truly unique chance to implement all the necessary reforms. I really want that. We have everything: political will of the President, majority in the Verkhovna Rada, government and Prime Minister that are willing to work. The only thing we lack is time. Society won’t wait for something to start working in Ukraine in several years,” the Head of State noted during a meeting with the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet of Ministers and the law enforcement bodies.
