On February 23, in the framework of #накавуздругом social initiative, President’s wife Maryna Poroshenko met with Roman Kysliak who has a CP. The meeting took place in Kartata Potata coffeehouse.
The initiative, in the framework of which Ukrainians invite people with disabilities for a cup of coffee, started when Roman was kicked out of the restaurant in Lviv.
Establishing the initiative, Roman Kysliak noted: “It doesn’t matter what disability a person has. First of all, he or she is a person created by God. And this person has a right to live. Don’t be afraid of us! We are also people”.
Maryna Poroshenko and Roman Kysliak discussed problems of people with special needs emphasizing the importance of changing attitude to such people. Roman also told about his civil activity. He provides assistance to children, elderly people and wounded Ukrainian soldiers.
Maryna Poroshenko thanked Roman Kysliak for his social initiative: “It is important that Ukrainians joined this initiative. I would like it to be termless. We should pay attention to such people every day, for they are the whole world: interesting, limitless and unique”.
