President accepted credentials from ambassadors of Denmark, Afghanistan and Georgia

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko accepted credentials from Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark Ruben Madsen, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Sardar Mohammad and Ambassador of Georgia Gela Dumbadze.

The Head of State congratulated Ruben Madsen on the beginning of his mission to Ukraine. The President stressed the importance of maintaining positive dynamics of trade-economic relations between Ukraine and Denmark. The Head of State expressed gratitude to the Government of Denmark for supporting the projects in Ukraine aimed to intensify the fight against corruption, sustainable economic development and protection of human rights. Petro Poroshenko praised the willingness of Denmark to conduct the Second Conference on the Reforms in Ukraine in June 2018.

In the course of the conversation with the Ambassador of Afghanistan, the President discussed the intensification of political dialogue and the enhancement of cooperation within the international organizations. The parties noted the potential of bilateral economic relations and stressed the importance of establishing the joint commission for trade-economic cooperation. The President also thanked the Ambassador for his knowledge of Ukrainian.

In the course of the conversation with the Ambassador of Georgia, the Head of State discussed the implementation of the agreements reached within the State visit of the Ukrainian President to Georgia (July 17-19, 2017). The parties noted a significant intensification of political contacts at the highest level that got a new boost due to the signature of the Declaration on Strategic Partnership. Special attention was paid to the coordination of common efforts on de-occupation of the territories of Ukraine and Georgia, integration of Ukraine and Georgia into the EU and NATO.
