During his visit to Helsinki, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with Vice-President of the European Commission for Euro and Social Dialogue, Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union Valdis Dombrovskis.
The Head of State and the Vice-President of the European Commission discussed the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding and the Loan Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union on the Fourth Macro-Financial Assistance Programme for Ukraine in the amount of 1 billion euro.
During the meeting, it was noted that Ukraine is implementing its commitments under the aforementioned agreements as fast as possible. To date, all 6 conditions for the first tranche of assistance (500 million euros) are being completed and a positive assessment by the European Commission is expected.
The Vice-President of the European Commission assured that the European Union will continue to comprehensively support Ukraine on the track of successful reforms and implementation of the Association Agreement.
