President Petro Poroshenko stressed that Ukraine was using any possible platforms to defend its national interests.
“There are no “Aachen three”, “two” and so on. There is a fact when Ukraine will use any international format, starting from the UN General Assembly and the UN Security Council,” the Head of State emphasizes in an interview to Ukrainian TV channels, answering the question whether the future meeting in Aachen means that the Normandy format no longer exists.
The President noted that recently UNESCO had made a decision to monitor the brutal and barbaric behavior of Russia in the territory of the occupied Crimea. According to him, there is also a decision of the UN Human Rights Council and the UN International Court of Justice. "All international platforms for the protection of Ukraine's national interests," the Head of State added.
“There (in Aachen - ed.) will be a lot of international leaders and we will, inter alia, conduct consultations on the security issues,” Petro Poroshenko told.
