President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree enacting a decision by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to impose sanctions on entities supporting Russia’s military-industrial complex.
The sanctions target 23 companies and 20 affiliated individuals that manufacture and supply equipment and components for Russia’s defense industry and security agencies in circumvention of sanctions.
Among them is Kidma Tech, which manufactures optical instruments, air defense systems, and multiple-launch rocket systems, and repairs air-launched and anti-tank guided missiles. The list also includes the Morozov Plant, which is part of the sanctioned Rostec corporation. The plant manufactures explosives, rocket fuel, and materials for missile systems, including solid-propellant charges for the engines of Iskander-M ballistic missiles. Also sanctioned are Spetselektronkomplekt, which is involved in the production of guided air-launched missiles, and Aurum, which supplies electronic warfare systems and drones to Russian occupation forces.
The list also includes Russian IT companies that develop digital solutions and information security software for public- and private-sector clients.
“We are continuing our systematic work to impose sanctions on weapons manufacturers, including ballistic missile producers, and other companies supporting Russia’s military-industrial complex. Every company that loses access to components, technologies, or financing will produce fewer ballistic missiles, drones, and other weapons for the war. The more countries join these restrictions, the weaker Russia’s ability to strike Ukraine will become,” emphasized Vladyslav Vlasiuk, Advisor – Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for Sanctions Policy.
