During the meeting with the commanders of Armed Forces, the National Guard, the State Border Service of Ukraine in Khmelnytskyi region, President Petro Poroshenko emphasized the issue of ensuring housing for the military personnel in the areas of permanent deployment of units. He noted that until recently, Ukrainian soldiers had household inconveniences and underdeveloped infrastructure in the area of service. Today, the situation is being resolved, he emphasized.
"To date, throughout the country, in many regions, cities, at various construction sites, an ambitious large-scale project is taking place, which began with my suggestion to use the money stolen by the previous government and returned with the efforts of the Prosecutor General's Office, law enforcement agencies," the Head of State said.
He recalled that it was decided to allocate part of the funds for the arrangement of dormitories for soldiers.
"Podilsk, Mykolaiv, Dachne, Ochakiv, Brody, Starychi, Myrne, Novohrad-Volynskyi, Konotop, Honcharivske, Berdychiv, Kremenchuk, Zhytomyr, Desna, "Shyrokyi Lan" and many other places … The construction of 184 dormitories for 23 thousand Ukrainian servicemen-contractors started simultaneously," the President noted.
