President Petro Poroshenko met media on a journalist's day and congratulated them on a professional holiday.
"I want to congratulate you as the President, as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. As the Supreme Commander, I would like to congratulate the military journalists first. I can clearly state that over the past four years there have been radical changes in the field of military journalism" - he addressed the audience.
The Head of State noted that Ukrainian military journalists are presenting true, fair information about the activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, covering the feats of Ukrainian military men, heroes.
The President thanked the journalists for forming a genuinely patriotic position: "In fact, we already have something to form information protection that allows us to effectively resist the Russian component of hybrid aggression and fight for the consciousness of Ukrainians".
The head of state said that today TV journalists, news journalists receive state awards as a recognition of the contribution each of them makes in order to unite the nation in order to resist aggression.
"We used to say that we have only military men and diplomats stand on the front line. Today, we can hope that a significant number of journalists defend our sovereignty" - said Petro Poroshenko.
