Right now, we have more capabilities to defend ourselves against cruise missiles – the relevant interceptors are simply more available in the world. And it would be very helpful if partners focused especially on protection against ballistic missiles – we discussed this a lot today – ballistic missiles that Russia started using more often and which are objectively harder to intercept.

We began this discussion earlier, and last year, at the end of last year, the relevant decisions were taken. In my view, those were also important, historic decisions, but we started this process. We reached an agreement in December. And today, we already have a decision on combat aviation. Swedish fighter jets that will definitely strengthen our air fleet and our air defense.

Today, the Prime Minister of Bulgaria and I signed a security agreement between our countries. In fact, our teams have been working on this for quite a long time. I am very pleased that we now have this ten-year agreement between our states.

We discussed energy cooperation, and there are things that can strengthen both of our countries. In particular, this concerns the development of our energy grids in Ukraine and Poland.

We greatly value the bilateral agenda in our relations with Germany as well. We have just been together with the Chancellor at an economic forum – the Ukrainian–German business forum. Cooperation between our companies, as well as our joint projects – those of Ukraine and Germany – is what truly helps us.

Ukraine values Türkiye’s principled stance on Russia’s war against our people, against our state. I want to express my gratitude for the cooperation – and it’s real – that helps us protect lives.

Ukraine is not alone now, not on its own in its defense, and that is precisely why we can count on bringing this war to an end – because we have friends, and France is our friend.

Our agreements with Greece today are an important part of the large energy package we have prepared for this winter to ensure gas supplies to Ukraine.
