President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy keeps the issue of quarantine restrictions during the Easter services under personal control. Currently, in most regions of the country, the situation is calm and controlled. There are rare cases of quarantine violations that have already been addressed by law enforcement agencies.

Already next week, salary arrears that emerged in some regions will start to be paid to the doctors and other health workers. This was reported at a traditional meeting chaired by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic. The arrears will be paid by the subventions included in the new version of the budget.

Easter is the victory of life over death. It is a holiday of joy. So let's find a positive in today's situation. Yes, we stay home. And after the weekend, after the quarantine, let us be scared by the figures on the bathroom scales, not by the figures on the thermometer.

The President stresses that if people do not observe quarantine during Easter, go to churches and do not take care of their safety and the safety of their loved ones, the COVID-19 outbreak and a significant increase in the number of patients may happen.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the implementation of projects creating additional jobs would be continued. In particular, it is planned to increase funding for the Great Construction program.

Continued cooperation with the International Monetary Fund will open the door for other countries to help Ukraine, as it will be a signal to the whole world that our country can be trusted, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that after the recent release of 20 Ukrainians illegally detained in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, negotiations are underway to bring back citizens held captive in the occupied Crimea and in the Russian Federation.

The COVID-19 mortality rate in Ukraine is 2.7% of the number of infected. This is a much lower figure than the world average. It was stated by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a traditional meeting chaired by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on combating coronavirus.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea informed that in the near future Ukraine will receive humanitarian aid for countering COVID-19, which was agreed on by the leaders of the two countries.

Ukraine will continue to implement a strategy to return people illegally detained in the temporarily occupied territories and in Russia until it releases all its citizens, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
