Following a meeting with the heads of leading higher education institutions, which took place on June 2, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on the establishment of the Council for the Development of Higher Education in Ukraine.

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, His Deputy Ihor Zhovkva, Adviser to the President of Ukraine Ruslan Demchenko, as well as Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, Vice Prime Minister - Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Oleksiy Reznikov and Defense Minister Andriy Taran made a working visit to Germany.

The interlocutors, in particular, touched upon the issues of financial support to Ukraine, as well as the prospects of investment cooperation. Andriy Yermak thanked the German party for assistance in allocating a new tranche of the IMF loan to Ukraine.

During a meeting with Foreign Policy Adviser to German Chancellor Jan Hecker held within a working visit to Germany, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said that Ukraine continues to insist on the prompt implementation of the agreements of the Normandy summit that took place in December in Paris to unblock the possibility of holding the next summit of the heads of state in Berlin.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with heads of leading higher education institutions in Ukraine. The participants of the event noted that they had not met with the Head of State in such format since 2005, and expressed satisfaction with the interest in higher education.

Adaptive quarantine has been introduced in all but three regions of Ukraine: Lviv, Rivne and Chernivtsi. The transition to the third phase of mitigation of restrictive measures has taken place almost everywhere. This was announced at a traditional conference call on combating the spread of coronavirus chaired by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
