President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with President of the Republic of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa.

The parties focused on the preparation of the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform to be held in Prague at the end of October this year. Ihor Zhovkva thanked Zdeněk Beránek for the readiness of the Czech side to host the Summit in the capital of the country.

The interlocutors discussed preparations for the next meeting at the ambassadorial level on the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula and the organization of the Global Peace Summit, in which the Republic of Korea plans to participate.

A key achievement was the approval by the G7 countries of a Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine, including the provision of security guarantees until Ukraine joins NATO.

The Ukrainian Center is the first cultural and educational space for the needs of Ukrainian forced migrants in the EU.

Never before have the words "you are equal among equals" for Ukraine from other NATO members sounded truly meaningful. Now everyone understands that this is a fact. Equal among equals. And we will definitely reaffirm this fact with our victory. And with our accession to NATO.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy does not rule out that Russia will react to the agreement by the G7 countries on security guarantees for Ukraine by attempting to block humanitarian initiatives in order to create new crises. He said this during a meeting with representatives of Ukrainian and foreign media following his visit to Lithuania and participation in the NATO Summit.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the main goal for Ukraine is to win the war with Russia, which will open the possibility of joining the Alliance.

"The most important thing is that we equally understand the conditions when and how Ukraine will join NATO. Maybe not all the details are communicated, but for me it was very important that there is certainty that Ukraine will be in NATO, that no one will trade NATO membership with anyone. That this is a real political decision based on the security situation in Ukraine," the Head of State said.

The interlocutors paid special attention to the issue of Ukraine's preparation to the start of negotiations on EU membership and reviewed the state of implementation of the relevant seven recommendations of the European Commission by our country.
