First Lady Olena Zelenska together with Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba visited Riga Ukrainian Secondary School during the official visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the Republic of Latvia. This school is the only educational institution in Latvia where schoolchildren can learn Ukrainian language at a professional level.

In the framework of the official visit to the Republic of Latvia, First Lady Olena Zelenska met representatives of Latvian NGOs Pilseta calvekiem, Babyroom and Aperions. They take care of protecting the interests of people with special needs, creating a friendly family environment as well as planning and improving of Latvian cities to increase their safety and comfort for all residents.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to the Law "On the State Support for Cinematography in Ukraine" On Granting a State Subsidy for the Reimbursement of a Part of Qualified Expenses Incurred by a Foreign Subject of Cinematography in the Production of a Film in Ukraine" №130-IX, approved by the Verkhovna Rada on September 20, 2019.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with the Ukrainian Diaspora and stressed on the importance of its role in supporting the Ukrainian State during his official visit to Latvia.

The document which was supported by 296 People's Deputies, provided for the liquidation of the National Commission for State Regulation of Financial Services Markets and the distribution of powers on regulation of the financial market between the National Bank and the National Securities and Stock Market Commission.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Speaker of the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia Ināra Mūrniece in Riga.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stresses that the troops separation in the area of Zolote and Petrivske in Donbas is possible only in seven days of silence and if all parties are ready to do so.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of Latvia Egils Levits discussed the topic of criminal proceeds related to ex-officials of Ukraine, which were withdrawn to Latvian banks from Ukraine.

“Today we have agreed to continue the coordinated interaction of our countries in the international institutions - the UN, the Council of Europe, the OSCE, as well as in the formats of interparliamentary interaction,” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
