The reforms currently implemented by the Ukrainian authorities aim at a significant increase in foreign and domestic investment, as Ukraine is becoming a stable and clear market of potentially great opportunities, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

“I am sure that the investment sphere provides the greatest prospects for economic partnership between Ukraine and Turkey today. It is not only about establishing joint ventures, but also about active participation of Turkish companies in the privatization process,” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during the Ukrainian-Turkish business forum in Kyiv.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy notes that the work is currently underway to return Ukrainian citizens illegally detained in the occupied territories and in the Russian Federation. He expressed hope that an agreement on the date of the release of the first part of captives will be reached shortly.

Ukraine and Turkey have agreed to speed up the work on the text of the Free Trade Agreement and step up cooperation in the transport, energy supply and aviation sectors, as stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"Ukraine and Turkey will continue to build political partnership, interact within international organizations, cooperate on security issues,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The document reaffirms the unwavering support by Turkey for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and outlines priorities in all spheres of development of the Ukrainian-Turkish strategic partnership (in particular, political, security, military, trade, economic and defense-industrial), the implementation of which will enhance the pragmatic component of strategic partnership between the two countries.

The eighth meeting of the High Level Strategic Council was held in Kyiv under the chairmanship of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy started a meeting with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan who is on an official visit to Ukraine.

In the framework of the visit, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will hold a meeting in vis-a-vis format and co-chair the eighth meeting of the High Level Strategic Council between Ukraine and Turkey.

In the context of discussing economic cooperation, the parties noted the importance of increasing investment cooperation between the two countries. In particular, Ihor Zhovkva welcomed the intention of QTerminals to invest in the development of Olbia port infrastructure. It is estimated that UAH 3.4 billion will be invested in the infrastructure of this port over the next 5 years. In this regard, Ihor Zhovkva informed of the Investment nanny initiative of the Ukrainian President designed to assist big foreign investors who intend to invest in the Ukrainian economy.
