Kyrylo Budanov Discussed Promoting Ukraine Abroad with Ukrainian Students Studying at UK Universities

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov held an online meeting with Ukrainian students studying at higher education institutions in the United Kingdom.

During the meeting, they discussed the integration of graduates of UK universities into Ukraine’s public sector. Kyrylo Budanov encouraged the students to expand their communication with international classmates in order to exchange experience and develop joint projects in the future.

“If you return with your body of knowledge and, most importantly, with your network of contacts and acquaintances – because you are studying alongside other people, and they too will grow, develop, and move forward – this will become your initial network of contacts, which you will be able to turn to on various issues. You are expected back home after completing your studies and building a broad network of contacts,” the Head of the Office of the President emphasized.

They also discussed strengthening outreach to international students and the media in order to communicate the truth about the war in Ukraine and counter enemy propaganda.

The participants also discussed initiatives by Ukrainian student communities abroad aimed at effectively supporting Ukraine, including the promotion of Ukrainian studies and cultural diplomacy.

“Do not forget your connection to your homeland. If you call yourselves Ukrainians, that connection is not about having a passport with the national emblem on it. Your connection lies in your actions and deeds. Your future is the future of Ukraine. So build more connections, communicate more, gain more knowledge. And do not forget that your country is here – there is no other, and there never will be,” Kyrylo Budanov concluded.
