The Head of State stressed that Russian aggression in the east and Russia's occupation of Crimea required the continuation of the international pressure on the Russian Federation. Volodymyr Zelenskyy is hopeful that Budapest would resume support for the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė who arrived for the inauguration on May 20. The Head of State thanked Mrs. Grybauskaitė for congratulations on assumption of the presidency. He noted that the sitting President of Lithuania was a true and reliable friend of Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with the representatives of the US Administration and US Congress who arrived in Kyiv to take part in the official ceremony of inauguration of the Head of State.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid who arrived for the inauguration of the newly elected Head of State. The President of Ukraine thanked the President of Estonia for the warm congratulations on the occasion of assuming office. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also noted the efforts of Estonia in supporting the European integration aspirations of Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili. She arrived in Ukraine for the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected Head of State. Salome Zourabichvili wished Volodymyr Zelenskyy success at the post of President of Ukraine. The Head of State outlined his priorities.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with heads of foreign delegations and ambassadors of foreign states. "I appreciate the fact that you were able to come to us in a very short time. I am grateful to the international partners for helping us conduct fair elections. Together we have proved that Ukraine is a democratic state. Thank you for your help in combating corruption, economic problems and, most importantly, in the fight against Russian aggression," the Head of State said.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged officials to abandon the practice of having the photos of the Head of State in the office and have the photos of their children instead, so that they can look into their eyes when making a decision.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the presentation of the commanders of the branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the heads of the security agencies.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the ceasefire in the country's east and the return of the Ukrainian Crimea and Donbas are the main priorities of his team. He told this in his inaugural speech during a solemn parliamentary session.
