Let the Ukrainian Flag Be Seen Around the World on August 24 – Kyrylo Budanov During Online Meeting With Ukrainian Youth Organizations Worldwide

Ahead of Independence Day, the second global online meeting of Ukrainian youth organizations worldwide was held under the chairmanship of Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov. Representatives of Ukrainian youth from more than 35 countries joined the meeting – from Europe, the United States, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Office of the President, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as youth leaders, students, volunteers, and activists.

The main topic of discussion was uniting Ukrainian youth abroad and coordinating joint actions ahead of Independence Day.

The Head of the Office of the President called on young Ukrainians around the world to actively participate in events on August 24, organize their own initiatives, and support Ukrainian events in their cities.

“Ahead of Independence Day, it is important to show that Ukrainians, wherever they may be, remain united. Take part in events in your cities and countries, bring Ukrainian youth together, and invite friends and partners. Display Ukrainian flags – on buildings, at youth centers, universities, and near our organizations. Let the Ukrainian flag be seen around the world on August 24. Our strength lies in unity and in our ability to act together,” Kyrylo Budanov emphasized.

Special attention during the meeting was devoted to the work of the Coordination Center for Ukrainian Youth Abroad and the next steps.

“This is already the second global meeting of the Coordination Center, and we are seeing concrete results from this work. We have managed to bring together young people from different countries, establish and verify a network of organizations, and, most importantly, find people who are ready to work, take responsibility, and support Ukraine around the world. Today, we are no longer talking about individual organizations but about a network of Ukrainian youth capable of coordinating and acting together,” Deputy Head of the Office of the President Olena Kovalska noted.

The next stage of the Coordination Center’s work will be regional meetings with Ukrainian youth organizations in Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia to identify key problems and needs, collect proposals, and develop solutions with the participation of government bodies, diplomatic missions, international partners, and Ukrainian organizations.

The Coordination Center for Ukrainian Youth Abroad was established in February 2026. Its goal is to maintain communication with young Ukrainians abroad and unite youth organizations and initiatives.
