The President Instructs Preparation of Decision on Long-Term Moratorium on Business Inspections and Expands Council for Entrepreneurship Support

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed to prepare a decision on a long-term moratorium on business inspections to protect entrepreneurs from pressure. The Head of State announced this during his speech at the State and Business Forum: From Dialogue to Partnership.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked business representatives for being in Ukraine, standing with Ukraine, and providing the foundation for a normal life for our people.

“I have instructed that a decision on a long-term moratorium on business inspections be prepared to protect businesses from any pressure by unscrupulous individuals in various government positions,” he said.

In addition, the President expanded the composition of the Council for Entrepreneurship Support and signed the corresponding decree. The Head of State called on everyone involved in its work to be as active as possible.

According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukrainian business, together with the state, provides over 40% of the weapons used to defend our independence. Ukrainian innovations, including business-driven innovative solutions, allow for providing a technological response to the challenges of the full-scale war.

“Thanks to Ukrainian entrepreneurship and all the conditions we have created as a state, a new sector of our domestic manufacturing has emerged and immediately become one of the world’s most advanced – the production of drones of various types. Hundreds of companies are now involved in weapons production in one way or another,” the President noted.

At the same time, he emphasized that economic growth is also vital for Ukraine’s resilience. That is why a dialogue between the state and entrepreneurs, business support programs, and investment attraction are necessary.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy pointed out that for the first time in its history, Ukraine is implementing systematic work with partner countries to attract investment in weapons manufacturing. According to the President, billions of dollars in investment are flowing into domestic production of weapons, equipment, and machinery. In addition, there are positive results from meetings with the G7 and successful cooperation with EU partners.

“Our international efforts and the decisions of partners on long-term support programs for Ukraine show that the world believes in us, believes in Ukraine. And this is important for the defense of Ukraine, for our army, for all our people, and in particular for business,” said the Head of State.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also highlighted the effectiveness of the “Made in Ukraine” policy supporting Ukrainian businesses. In total, more than 70,000 enterprises and entrepreneurs have already benefited from state programs. Ukraine will not only maintain but also expand them.

“Even under such harsh conditions of this war, Ukraine can rely on its entrepreneurs – on our domestic Ukrainian manufacturing, our Ukrainian logistics, our Ukrainian services across all sectors – from security to everyday life, as well as on Ukrainian developments and investments,” the President emphasized.
