President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree requiring the Government to organize an open competition, as well as all necessary measures to install a monument to Hetman Ivan Mazepa in Kyiv.
Following the competition, the design and construction of the monument must be ensured.
The Government, together with the Kyiv City State Administration, is also to address the arrangements for the space and site where the monument will be installed, ensuring it is organically integrated into the city’s architecture.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy initiated the installation of a monument to Ivan Mazepa on Constitution Day.
At the time, the Head of State emphasized that Taras Shevchenko Boulevard would be the ideal location for it.
