In Warsaw, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
The Head of State honored the memory of Poles who, at different times, gave their lives for the sake of their Motherland; he also made an entry in the book of remembrance.
The monument was unveiled in the Polish capital in November 1925. At the end of World War II, the tomb was severely damaged as a result of an explosion, but in 1946, the memorial was restored and reopened.
