President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with servicemen of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection and handed over state awards.
"Before the war, we used to say calmly at the end of a conversation, "We'll keep in touch with you." And I never thought that we would say the same words differently – because of the war," the head of state said, addressing the State Special Communications Service.
Zelenskyy said that in particular, thanks to their work, today the Armed Forces and the civilian population have a reliable connection, among other things, with public authorities.
"It is very important that we have a modern, almost uninterrupted connection with our Western partners since the first day of the war," he said.
According to the President, this makes it possible to resolve many important issues both on the military and diplomatic fronts.
Zelenskyy thanked the special communications servicemen for their service, wished them good health and noted that their families can be proud of such relatives.
