Regular holding of the "Kyiv Initiative" will contribute to effective coordination of efforts of neighboring partner countries to help Ukraine protect freedom, independence and security in Europe. This was said by Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak during a conversation with media representatives following the "Kyiv Initiative" event.

The high-level event is aimed at strengthening the coordination of countries in matters of regional security and practical cooperation in countering security threats.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President Andriy Smyrnov and Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Anton Korynevych met in the Office of the President with British barrister Geoffrey Nice, who was the lead prosecutor in the case of ex-President of Serbia Slobodan Milošević.

"Yes, Russia wants peace talks. However, this is not a sincere offer, but a trap. Because it is not about ending the war, it’s about strengthening one's positions. It wants to consolidate territorial gains while it is at the top of military capabilities," added the Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President.

The parties discussed in detail the further support for Ukraine in repelling the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

The interlocutors discussed the possibilities of applying new defense technologies to counter Russian aggression.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jaroslav Kurfürst.

The head of the Office of the President said that Ukraine is also ready for extensive discussion of those steps that will help other states in the conditions of the food crisis and other challenges, as well as contribute to the strengthening of the Ukrainian economy, with international institutions and partners.

"Countries that are potentially interested in being security guarantors for Ukraine are being added," Andriy Yermak said.

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak had a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, Deputy Chief of Mission Christopher Smith and U.S. Defense Attaché Garrick Harmon.
