During a working trip to the Cherkasy region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Cherkasy Airport. Cherkasy International Airport director Ivan Dalibozhak noted that the overhaul of the runway was started in 2018. The cost of the works is UAH 128 million. There is also project documentation for the airport apron and taxiway. He noted that there is only one road from Cherkasy to Kyiv, so there is a need for air services.
