Deputy Heads of the Office of the President, Ihor Brusylo and Pavlo Palisa, held a meeting with the U.S. delegation. The delegation was led by Tyler Brace, Senior Professional Staff Member at the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and Advisor to Senator Jim Risch.

On the Day of the Special Operations Forces, which Ukraine will now celebrate annually on May 27, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with SOF warriors and the families of fallen Heroes and presented state awards.

The “Education of a New Ukraine” conference was held in Kyiv, focusing on building new educational infrastructure and quality. Among the participants were Verkhovna Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, top officials from relevant ministries, and Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Olena Kovalska.

"The President sees our Council primarily as the foundation for shaping the country’s economic policy and strategy – together with the Head of State and the government," Andriy Yermak emphasized.

Now the Russians are supposedly drafting proposals for a memorandum on peace. They talk a lot about diplomacy. But when, in the midst of all that, there are constant Russian strikes, constant killings, relentless assaults, and even preparations for new offensives – this is clearly a diagnosis.

The Head of State thanked him for organizing the European Political Community Summit, which took place in Tirana on May 16. The President specifically noted that support for Ukraine and efforts to strengthen it remained in focus throughout the event.

The Head of State emphasized that thanks to the warriors of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection, Ukraine maintains reliable and systematic communications. In addition, these servicemembers actively contribute to national defense on the front lines alongside all other components of Ukraine’s Security and Defense Forces.

The main update: we continued the exchange today. Another 307 of our warriors have been returned home – privates and sergeants.

Andriy Yermak informed them of today’s prisoner exchange. The parties coordinated next steps aimed at compelling Russia to cease fire as a prerequisite for launching negotiations on a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.

Every one of our citizens, every Ukrainian servicemember and civilian, all Ukrainian hostages held in Russia – we must free all of them. Today, almost four hundred, 390 people are back home – both military and civilians. Tomorrow and the day after, the next stages will follow. The formula is a thousand for a thousand.
