In order to achieve a just and lasting peace, European countries must strengthen their defense capabilities, pursue a coordinated foreign policy and, together with the United States, provide Ukraine with effective security guarantees. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his speech at the main session of the Munich Security Conference.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy recognized the Netherlands’ efforts in ensuring Ukraine’s strong position ahead of any potential future negotiations. One of the key topics of discussion was coordinating the next joint steps, including developing a common action plan and establishing reliable security guarantees.

Everything needed to protect lives in modern war should be produced in Europe – fully. Europe has everything it takes. Europe just needs to come together and start acting in a way that no one can say “No” to Europe, boss it around, or treat it like a pushover.

The key topics of the meeting were continued defense assistance to Ukraine, the formulation of legislative initiatives to support our state, and the provision of reliable security guarantees.
