The Head of State emphasized that it is important to make progress on developing security guarantees and a long-term foundation for the resilience of both Ukraine and the whole of Europe. The parties agreed to continue their coordination.

At the Élysée Palace in Paris, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a several-hour meeting with President of France Emmanuel Macron in a tête-à-tête format. The main focus was on negotiations to end the war and on security guarantees.

The Head of State thanked Ursula von der Leyen for her support. Ukraine maintains full coordination with the European Commission. During his conversation with Mark Rutte, the President discussed the agenda for the coming days, which will be very important, and expressed his gratitude for the support.

The leaders exchanged information on various aspects of Russia’s position and assessments of current diplomatic prospects. The President of Ukraine noted that this week will involve a lot of work with partners in Europe, and it is important that everyone shares the same view of the situation.

Oksana Markarova will consult the President on matters related to improving the business climate, strengthening the state’s financial resilience, attracting investment, and planning Ukraine’s reconstruction in collaboration with its strategic partners.

As part of the package coordinated with the United States, Ukraine has introduced sanctions against 26 Russian legal entities connected to the energy sector. The second decree introduces sanctions against 36 individuals and 13 legal entities involved in the production, training, and operation of Russian drones.

The Ukrainian delegation should already be in the United States by this evening, U.S. time. The dialogue based on the Geneva points will continue.

Internal strength is the foundation of our external unity and of our relations with the world. And for that internal strength to exist, there must be no reasons to get distracted by anything other than defending Ukraine.

First Lady Olena Zelenska, together with her Foundation’s team, Ambassador of Austria to Ukraine Robert Müller, and Head of Building and Property Management Department of the Lower Austrian Government Christoph Reiter, visited one of the lyceums in Kaharlyk, Kyiv region.
