In Kyiv, First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska met with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.

The leaders discussed continued support for Ukraine, including the Czech initiative to supply artillery shells and other ideas that can help strengthen Ukraine and our defense right now.

To cover up its failures on the ground, Russia has launched a new wave of air terror against Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure, which is why Ukraine needs stronger air defense. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during his online address to participants of the 71st Annual Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, attended by delegations from nearly 50 countries, including Europe, all the Alliance, and the Middle East.

I urge you to advocate in your parliaments and governments for stronger air defenses and the missiles we need. And the decisions are needed in the coming weeks – on both systems and missiles. Russia must learn it cannot terrorize any country with impunity.

We are working closely with the United States to strengthen ourselves – our air defense, all our defensive capabilities: primarily Patriots, other systems, as well as our active operations and long-range capabilities.
