On the instructions of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak held an online briefing on security issues for members of the defense and foreign affairs committees of the House of Commons of the Parliament of Great Britain.
The Head of the Office of the President thanked Great Britain for the support felt by the Ukrainian people, in particular during the recent visit of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Great Britain, his reception in the Westminster Hall of Parliament and the audience with King Charles III, as well as the adoption of important decisions for Ukraine.
"As President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasizes, our common task is to defeat a country that does not recognize civilizational evolution and is doomed under any circumstances. The only question is the number of innocent victims, which our country still has to suffer for this," emphasized Andriy Yermak.
The Head of the President's Office told the participants of the meeting about the course of the defense of Ukraine against the Russian invaders and the intentions to liberate all Ukrainian lands from the occupiers. In particular, the representatives of the British Parliament were informed about the current situation at the front and the needs of the units of the defense forces.
Deputy Head of the Office of the President Roman Mashovets noted the importance of parliamentary support for the approval of political decisions regarding the provision of all necessary weapons to Ukraine and the important role of Great Britain, which is an example for other partner countries in the security support of our state.
Andriy Yermak also called on representatives of the British Parliament to help bring all those guilty of this terrible war to justice.
"After all, you are wise politicians and experienced specialists, you perfectly understand what can happen in the world if you do not fight back against the aggressor now," the Head of the Office of the President emphasized.
"We are convinced that the information you received will contribute to a deep understanding of what is really happening in Ukraine now. In this regard, we invite you to personally visit our country at your convenience," he added.
