Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak held an online meeting with Diplomatic Advisor to the President of France Emmanuel Bonne, National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Jonathan Powell, Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the Council of Ministers of Italy Fabrizio Saggio, and Deputy Advisor to the Federal Chancellor of Germany on Foreign Policy and Security Alexander Wallau.
During the conversation, the participants summed up the outcomes of the NATO Summit in The Hague. They particularly highlighted the importance of the meeting between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of the United States Donald Trump.
The parties discussed the next steps in the negotiation process aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace. Andriy Yermak stressed the need to increase pressure on Russia to bring it to the table for constructive talks.
The participants also noted the support expressed by EU member state leaders for opening EU accession negotiations with Ukraine following yesterday’s European Council meeting.
A separate focus of the discussion was the preparation for a meeting of the leaders of the Coalition of the Willing members and the coordination of further contacts.
