Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak held an online meeting with National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Jonathan Powell, Foreign Policy and Security Advisor to the Federal Chancellor of Germany Günter Sautter, Advisor for Continental Europe and Türkiye to the President of France Bertrand Buchwalter, and Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the Council of Ministers of Italy Fabrizio Saggio.
Andriy Yermak shared the outcomes of the Ukrainian delegation’s visit to Washington and emphasized that support for Ukraine within the American political establishment remains strong.
Particular attention was paid to increasing pressure on Russia. The Head of the Presidential Office noted that Ukraine is counting on the U.S. Senate’s support for a bipartisan bill aimed at strengthening sanctions against Russia and introducing secondary restrictions on countries and companies that help the Russian Federation circumvent sanctions.
He added that the very consideration of this bill would send an important signal to all international partners.
In addition, Andriy Yermak informed the participants about the situation on the battlefield and Russia’s missile and drone attacks on civilians.
The parties coordinated their efforts in preparation for the G7 Summit, which will take place on 15–17 June in Canada, and agreed to stay in contact.
