Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, held a conversation with representatives of the U.S. Presidential Administration, following up on yesterday’s phone call between the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States and the issues they discussed during it.
The American side was represented by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who also serves as Acting National Security Adviser to the President of the United States, along with Special Presidential Envoys Steve Witkoff and General Keith Kellogg.
On the Ukrainian side, Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov also participated in the conversation.
This was Marco Rubio's first call since his appointment as Acting National Security Adviser to the President of the United States.
The main topic of the discussion was the ceasefire and the prospects for a peaceful resolution.
The parties also commended the ratification by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the Economic Partnership Agreement between the two states, agreeing that this historic document opens up new opportunities for Ukrainian–American cooperation.
