Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Pavlo Palisa held a meeting with a delegation of the European Union led by EU Commissioner for Defense and Space Andrius Kubilius.
Pavlo Palisa expressed gratitude for the EU’s clear and principled position in supporting Ukraine and for the security assistance, which includes troop training, weaponry, and military equipment.
He briefed the delegation on the overall situation in Ukraine, with a specific focus on the frontline.
During the meeting, the sides discussed in detail the strengthening of Ukraine’s defense capabilities as a foundation for the security of the entire European continent, as well as the impact of modern technological developments on the conduct of warfare.
Andrius Kubilius noted that the European Union is closely monitoring the situation in Ukraine and reaffirmed continued support for Ukraine in its pursuit of a dignified and lasting peace.
He also emphasized the importance and uniqueness of Ukraine’s combat experience. According to the Commissioner, partner countries are studying this experience carefully, as it is essential for the development of the EU’s military capabilities.
The parties agreed to continue active dialogue and cooperation on security matters.
