Chief Operating Officer of Bring Kids Back UA and Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Dariia Zarivna, took part in thematic events during the annual democracy festival Folkemødet in Denmark.
In particular, Dariia Zarivna joined former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen for a special panel focused on returning Ukrainian children from deportation.
“Deportation and indoctrination of children is a deliberate Kremlin strategy. If the international community fails to stop this now, Russia will have in its hands up to 1.6 million children raised as tools of future aggression,” she stated.
The Chief Operating Officer of Bring Kids Back UA shared the latest updates regarding the initial list of abducted children that the Ukrainian delegation handed over to Russia during negotiations in Istanbul. Dariia Zarivna noted that if Russia is truly ready for dialogue, it must return at least those children whose names are included in that list.
Speaking at a panel dedicated to the role of civil society, she highlighted the unique partnership model between the state, civil society organizations, and volunteers that has emerged in Ukraine as part of the President’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
Dariia Zarivna also held a number of meetings with European politicians, civil society representatives, experts, and journalists, where they discussed future joint projects under the Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
